  • Beginning: Birth.
  • Clinical picture: Mild.
  • Non-syndromic: Does not affect other organs besides the skin.

It is a mild type of Autosomal Recessive Congenital Ichthyosis (ARCI). It is a variant of the self-resolving collodion baby.

At birth the baby presents the collodion membrane exclusively on the extremities. It resolves almost completely after 3 months of life.

They may have some symptoms of lamellar ichthyosis but to a mild degree.
