Keratinopathic Ichthyosis

Annular epidermolytic ichthyosis

  • Beginning: Birth / Childhood.
  • Clinical picture: Mild / Moderate.
  • Non-syndromic: Does not affect other organs besides the skin.

The degree of prevalence of this type of ichthyosis, milder than epidermolytic ichthyosis, is less than 1 in every 1,000,000 births. The main contrast to epidermolytic ichthyosis is that improvement occurs during childhood.

It brings associated palmoplantar hyperkeratosis and moderate itching.

In adulthood, the lesions are mild and localized.
