Autosomal Syndromic Ichthyosis
Mednik Syndrome
- Beginning: Birth.
- Clinical picture: Severe / Very severe.
- Syndromic: It does affect other organs.
It is a serious disorder characterized by mental retardation, enteropathy, deafness, peripheral neuropathy, ichthyosis, and keratoderma.
Its degree of prevalence is 1 per 1,000,000 births.
Symptoms seen on the skin are erythematous areas and hyperkeratotic plaques of varying sizes and shapes.
