Recessive Autosomal Icthyosis
Self-healing collodion baby

- Clinical picture: Mild.
- Non-syndromic: Does not affect other organs besides the skin.
It is a mild type of Autosomal Recessive Congenital Ichthyosis (ARCI). At birth, the baby presents the collodion membrane that, once it is detached, gives way to a fine peeling. It resolves almost completely after 3 months of life.
The symptoms which they present during the rest of their life are mild, such as peeling in the neck and armpits, intolerance to heat or the inability to sweat.
