X-linked Syndromic Ichthyosis

X-linked (syndromic) ichthyosis


  • Beginning: Childhood.
  • Clinical picture: Moderate / Severe.
  • Syndromic: It does affect other organs.

X-linked recessive ichthyosis is syndromic when it appears accompanied by affections to organs other than the skin.

Its skin symptoms are similar to those of non-syndromic X-linked ichthyosis, but it may present other alterations such as: corneal opacity, ADHD, neurological alterations such as epilepsy, intellectual deficit or short stature.
